Joel Daimen on Friday shot another sterling round to expand his lead for four shots at the Coreless Puntakana Championship at Dominican Republic’s Punta Cana.

Dahaman’s 6-under-legs 66 brought him to 16-under 128 and his 62 broke the course record in the corresponds of Pantakana Resort, a day after setting him in 16-under 128.

On Friday, five out of six of his birds came in front of nine; They have 16 Birds and no bogies through the tournament.

“I mean, 16 of 16 are playing anywhere,” said Daimen. “Played very easy yesterday, it was mostly calm during the day. We had relatively quiet for front nine, it was actually raised on the back. The afternoon wave is definitely going to be difficult, so I am happy with me – where I am, I am happy with it, of course.”

Dahmen’s only win on PGA Tour came to the event in 2021, with only 12 under -winning scores.

His appearance on his social media activity and his presence on the Netflix series “Full Swing”, Dahmen has fallen to number 176 in the world rankings and is working to bring his game back to track.

“Yes, it’s just fun, I was never in this position before,” said Daimen. “Maybe in my amateur days or something like this. But I think I have done a good job of not protecting. I have not seen the scoreboard honestly up to 18 green.”

Finished second for 12 years, South Africa’s Garrick Higgo (68), Charlie Hoffman (66) and Michael Thorbornsen, who fired the day round with 9-under 63.

23-year-old Thorbornsen earned his PGA Tour Card through 2025 by securing first place in the PGA Tour University rankings at the end of the 2025-24 College Golf season. Now he is hunting for his first win; He has not done better than T39 in a program this year.

Their bogie -free round included eagles, which included a pair -5S, seventh and 12th hole. He said that his tea shot shoots at a number 7 wound in an animal of some kind.

“My playing contestants, they almost finished the hole until we got a decision,” Thorbornsen said. “Honestly, like a decent brake but inauspicious at the same time. So I hit 180 to 8-lohe, started the green left edge, floated to the right side of the pin (to set the eagle put).”

Chan Kim (66), Dylan Wu (67) and Keith Michel (69) are ranked fifth under 11. Matt Nemith (69), Will Chandler (68) and England’s Matt Wallace (70) are less than 10.
