Joe Route is not 99, Indian bowlers ineffective on slow pitch

IND vs Eng, Lord’s Test: England finished the first day of the match at 251/4 in 83 overs, which was unbeaten on 99.

In one day, which belonged to England, none of the team dominates him. In a Sea-so-so battle, both teams tried their best to dominate the game, but it was not. Ben Docket and Zak Croly started well for England, only to lose the way in the middle, and then revived by Joe Root and Ben Stokes.

Insidesport takes a look at the major moment of the first day of the Lord’s test.

Nitish Kumar Reddy topped the visitors

When the first session during the day was unilateral case, Shubman Gill turned to all -rounder Nitish Kumar Reddy. And not only he hit his first day throughout the day, but he hit the English side twice in a single over. First, it was a dangerous -looking Ben Docket, who used to tamper with a delivery outside the leg stump, which was caught by Rishabh Pant, the second wicket of Zak Croly was a full peach. The ball looked like coming in, but the bus was a little away, to take an edge with the keeper.

Rishabh Pant’s nail-cross concerns Team India

In all fairness, Rishabh Pant is the most important player for this Team India. And to lose it, the visitors may be threatened. In the 34th over of the innings, Pant suffered a left -handed injury, due to which he had to go out of the field. This means, Dhruv Juraral captured wicket-keeping duty, but it is yet to be seen if the pants can bat properly or not. Later, various reports suggested that they broke their nails on the left index finger.

Joe Root Score 3K runs against India

Former England captain Joe Root won a special landmark in the Lord’s Test. He scored 3000 runs against Team India, only in his 33rd match vs. He is a shocking 59 in these encounters, with 10 100 and 12 half -centuries with his name. Interestingly, now he also has 103 fifty plus scores in tests.

Attack without and 99

If not for a little delay in the proceedings, due to the attack of bugs/flies, the route must have completed its ton on the first day. But that three-four minutes of delay meant that one more over could not be squeezed, and the root was stranded overnight on 99. He becomes only the 17th man in history to finish one day on the score.
