Joao Claus watched his first career MLS Hat Trick, including the target of tying a dramatic 3-3 tie to St. Louis City, to give a dramatic 3-3 tie to Los Angeles Galaxy on Saturday afternoon.
St. Louis City (3-9-6, 15 digits) improved 2–1-0 under interim coach David Kichlele. St. Louis has defeated Galaxy twice this season and has 2-0-4 to 4 all-time against Los Angeles.
Gabriel PEC recorded a brace for Galaxy and gave a late goal in regulation. Matheus Nascmeno also scored a goal and Marco Rice had two assistance in the form of Los Angeles (1–12–5, 8 digits), which is unbeaten in its last two outings after opening a campaign with suspected records of 16 straight winning matches (0-12-4).
Galaxy took a 3–2 lead in the 87th minute thanks to St. Luis Missplay. Joy Zalinsky sent a pass back towards the center line, but the team partner Jayden Reid slipped and fell into the turf. PEC captured and moved towards the net and easily removed St. Louis Rolkeepers Roman Barki and knocked a left leg tap into the net.
St. Louis tied the match due to some magic to the clus in the second half stop time. The Claus had a ball on the right side of the net and sent a right-foot laser across the box and also in the top left corner of the net.
Baraki made three savings, while Novak Micovic of Los Angeles recorded two. Galaxy had a gain of 15–11 in shots and 6–5 in shots on targets.
Claus scored his first goal in the 35th minute when he performed a give-end with team partner Marsel Hartel. The ball was tapped back to the clus, which sent a left leg shot via Microvic’s feet.
The galaxy scored six minutes later. Rues slide a grounder cross for PEC, which sent a left -leg shot to Burki.
Claus was again on the second half of the second half as he had a long run to catch Selio Pompes’ up-forward pass. Claus ripped a right-foot shot at the top of the net to give St. Louis a 2–1 lead.
Los Angeles tied the score in the 51st minute with a back heel flicks set with a rese. The nearby went directly to the nasculento, which sent a left leg shot to the left corner of the net.
