Jets watching to expand the series against stars

Some people hoped that Vinnipag Jets would go quietly.
Definitely not the Dallas star coach Pete Debor.
After dodging the first attempt in elimination, Jets will try to survive when they visit Dallas in Game 6 of their Western Conference Second-Round Series on Saturday evening.
The stars still have a 3–2 lead in the best-seven sets, although nothing seems safe against the team that posts the best record in NHL during the regular season. Before a rally to win a 4-3 win in double overtime, Vinypeg was also below two goals with two minutes in Game 7 of his first round series against St. Louis Blues.
“He won the trophy of the presidents, okay? It’s actually a good team,” Debor said about Jets. “We have a great opportunity to go home and win it at home. We did what we had to do, which we have to win (game 1 in Vinnipag), so that we can be given this opportunity in an eradication game (in Dallas). If not, we have to come back here and win another.”
Connor Hellbuke made 22 saves in Vinypeg on Thursday in a 4–0 win in Game 5, which was the second shutout of the series for the Frontner to win his third Vagina Trophy this season.
“We are going to watch the video and see things that we need to continue to do, and some things we can clean,” Jates said after scoring two goals in Game 5, “But, I think overall, overall, we really played a good game and gave us the result we wanted.”
Not surprisingly, Jets played like a more desperate team in Game 5, limited the stars to nine shots on goals through two periods and generally win most of the puck battles.
“If you look at only 50-50 battles during the game, it adds,” it adds, “said Vinypeg Forward Kail Conston. This is a combination of everyone that is being a combination and that fight and just dial. This is the game of the last team. We need every man going here. This is the most difficult time of the year and I felt that we had taken steps, but obviously the job has not been done. “
As emotions in the series grow, there is also physicality. For 50 penalty minutes in the game 5, teams combined for the most time in the series.
“This is an emotional series,” said Debor. “You play this time of the year against a team, there is a little hatred. It’s fine.”
The stars hoped to hold their last meeting of the season with Jets to Game 6, but they also wanted the game to not get close to doing so and doing so.
“You never want to give a team life,” said Stars Matt Dachene. “We felt as if we need to win (Game 5). You don’t want to give them any life. We do not want to come back here for Game 7. Obviously, 3–1 on a point. It can take seven (game). Although they are a good team. It can see that we can see that we will try to go home and try to keep our best games and go on.”
