Jets owner Woody Johnson buys a stake in Crystal Palace FC

New York Jets co-owner Woody Johnson Crystal Palace is purchasing 43 percent stake in FC, the Premier League Club confirmed on Monday.
Johnson signed a legally binding contract to buy a holding of American businessman John Texter at the club, with several outlets reported a $ 254 million to the value of the deal.
“While the Premier League and the Women’s Super League are approval during completion, we do not envisage any issue and are ready to welcome Woody as a partner and director of the club,” Crystal Palace said in a statement.
South London -based Crystal Palace is controlled by Chairman Steve Parish and American investors Josh Harris and David Blitzer.
Sales Crystal Palace can clear the way for 2024–25 FA Cup Champion to compete in the next season UEFA Europea League.
The club is not yet approved as the Texter Eagle Football Holdings Group also has controlled interest in French Side Leone. There are UEFA rules that prevent two teams with the same ownership by competing in the same event.
78-year-old Johnson bought jets in 2000 and served as US Ambassador to the United Kingdom from 2017-21 during his first term at the office of President Donald Trump. He made a failed attempt to buy the Premier League Club Chelsea in 2022.
