Vinypeg Jets goalkeeper Connor Helbuke caught both NHL’s heart and Vejina trophies for their talent during the 2024-25 campaign.

The awards were announced on Thursday before Game 4 of the Stanley Cup final at the league award show.

The Professional Hockey Writers Association gave the NHL player the Hart Trophy award, which is considered the most valuable for its team during the regular session. The Vejina Trophy goes to the top goalkeeper.

Helbuke, a native of Michigan, became the first goalkeeper to earn a heart trophy since the carry price of Montreal Canadines in 2014-15. In addition, he is just the fifth goal to carry the vegina and heart in the same year, which is to join the price, Jose Theodore (2001-02 Canadines), Dominic Hasek (1996–97, 1997–97-98 Buffalo Sabers) and Jacks Plant (1961-62 Canadian).

“Turning back, I would probably portray this day as one of the greatest of my career,” Hellbuke said about receiving two trophies.

Halbuke Vagina was a prohibitory favorite to win. He earned 31 out of 32 first place votes, moving beyond Tampa Bay’s Andrei Waslevsky. It was 32-year-old third Vejina-he also earned the award in 2019–20 and 2023-24.

Heart voting was very close, as Helbebucuck received 1,209 votes in Leon Drassital in Edmonton.
