Philadelphia Philise hoped left-handed Jesus Lujardo to continue impressing his new team when he takes a mound against the host Chicago cub in the second game of his three-market series on Saturday.
Phillies can use a strong performance after five consecutive defeats.
Lujardo (2–0, 2.08 ERA) came to Philadelphia from Miami Marlins in Offsen and picked well for the Philos in his first five beginnings.
He recently rose seven concrete innings against his former team on Sunday.
Lujardo left with two runs (one earned) and eight hits with a seven-strike and 4–2 lead, but Bulpen gave a lead to 7–5 defeats in 10 innings.
Phillies coach Rob Thomson has been alert with 27 -year -old, which ended early due to a back injury after the 2024 season.
