Jesus Lujardo scorched New York Met’s in the seventh inning and Edmondo Sosa hit a three-run homer, as host Philadelphia Philis won a 7-1 win on Sunday night.
Lujardo (7-3) allowed only three hits in 6 2/3 innings for Philadelphia, which won two out of three against New York at the end of this week to pursue a game ahead of Mets for the first place in the National League East. Lafti Lujardo hit seven and one went away as Philips improved 9–2 in their last 11 matches.
The Philos had a big innings against David Peterson (5-3), who was accused of five runs and six hits in four frames. Francisco Lindor hit a single home run for Mets, who has lost eight of their last nine matches.
