Jeremy Pena ended 4-for-4 in the eighth innings with a tie-breaking single in the eighth innings to help claim a 4–3 victory over Canas City Royals in a three-game chain rubber match on Wednesday.

Penna left a 3–3 tie with her single to the Carlos Estevez near Royals, leading to the Home Mauricio Dubon. Dabon’s double-scored pinch Chas McCormic chased the first base and Royals’ right-hand Michael Lorringen (3-4). Dubon did 2 -for -3 with a pair of doubles.

Astros Closure Josh Hader earned his 10th Save for Bobby Wit Junior Left-Hand Brian King (1-0) by working around a two-out walk, winning relief.

Royals took a 2–0 lead in the second innings against Astro Left-Hander Colton Gordon, starting their major league. Maikel Garcia left a leadoff home run for her fifth homer, before the Royals hit the three consecutive two-hit hits together, Jonathan India put Hunter Rainfro to a double to the left.

Lorringen produced an efficient outing until Astro held a rally in the eighth.

Lorringen faced the minimum through three innings, courtesy of the catcher Salvador Perez, who caught Pena because he attempted to swipe the other, as Jose Ultuve was killed in the first bottom of the first. After two innings, Dabon rolled into an inning-ending double play, which wiped out Zach Desanzo.

After Pena proceeded from the fourth, Lorrangeene inspired another double-play grounder, from the ultuve, to clean the hideouts. But Paredes club his second home run in several games, this season a first-picch fastball drilling for his sixth homer.

Royals immediately responded to Astro’s tally in fifth place when Garcia congratulated the Reluver Sean Dubin with a run-scoring double, which was rich in the second base and tied in a shallow left area, scored Winnie Pascontino and benefited Royals 3–1.

Lorringen was ready to protect the two-nine throne after Astro retired in the fifth. He surrendered the Dubone and Pena to the back-to-back doubles in the sixth as Astro once again closed within a run, but retired the side in the seventh order.
