Jelna Ostapenco Toples No. 1 Aryana Sabalenka in Stuttgart final

Unpublished Jelena Ostapenko completed his first run in the winner’s circle since February 2024, when the native of Latvia scored 6-4, 6–1 to the number 1 Seed Aryana Sabalenka of Belarus 6-4, 6-1 in the final of Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stattgart, Germany on Monday.
With troubled, Ostapenko improved his career 3–1 against the number 1-ranked players. Ostapanco came to two rounds in the quarter-finals after defeating Poland’s World No. 2 IGA Swiytech, which improved 6–0 against Swetek All-Time.
On Monday, Ostapenko captured the miscarriage of Sabalenka’s service and won 20 of 31 second-return points (64.5 percent). Sabalanka won only 44.6 percent of its total service points (29 out of 65) and lost all its four service games in the second set.
Ostapaneco had not won on Clay since the 2017 French Open, its only Grand Slam title to date.
The final was held on Monday as the tournament closed on Friday due to a state rule banning the sports events on Good Friday.
