Jaydev Undadkat convicted SRH’s poor bowling attack in IPL 2025

Staring at an early exit, India’s pacer Jaydev Unadkat has opened the flying IPL campaign of Sunrisers Hyderabad, blaming his excellent performance in the event of ineffective bowling and changing pitch. SRH is out of all playoff races after a 38 -run defeat against Gujarat Titans in Ahmedabad on Friday. “From my experience of playing in the IPL, to perform well for a team, there should be at least three or four people in the context of your bowling, who have to contribute to every game. And perhaps this year I would say that we are lacking that when two people are bowling well, the other three probably not really bowling in the tendom.”

To bowl first, SRH failed to include the top order, which posted a challenging 224 for six. Unadkat managed to take three wickets in the finals of the innings.

“As we look at the partnership in batting terms, I think it is also the same in bowling. Because when you are not bowling well from both ends, it creates unnecessary pressure on the other man. And then the plan changes. So we have to blame not having the best bowling side in the tournament.”

“When you want to win the game, you have become the best. And we are not the best. I can’t say that we have anything that we have in terms of practice and training and planning. It is just execution on the field, which can be wrong many times.” SRH reached the last season ride on his ultra-invasive batting approach. This year also, Pat Cummins & Co. launched its campaign with a blast, in which a huge 286 post was posted for six against Rajasthan Royals. However, they lose speed after this and are now in 10 matches from below with just three wins and seven defeats.

“Last year, we scored more than 200 runs in four or five matches, and this made us understand that we have set a standard. But it could not always be ideal. Other teams and batsmen are now planning better, and bowlers are also coming with new strategies and coming,” said Undkat.

“Last year, the swing was enough to create an effect, but this year, it is about using variations effectively. Also, the pitches are playing a big role. Last year we had a lot of flat pitches, while this time we had more difficult. That is why we have not been able to take the same speed.” On Friday, SRH made a promising start to chase him, but eventually fell low, managing 186 for six in its 20 overs.

Unadkat blamed GT for his loss for his harm and poor fielding.

“Look, honestly we felt that we could limit them to about 200. We did not make a ground well and this was a reason-perhaps a couple’s couple’s pairs and a couple of Missfield did the same reason that we gave those additional 20-25 runs.

“When you are bowling first, you want to ban or get the initial wickets. We could not do it and at the same time we also gave some more runs in the powerplay … We could not only capitalize on even in the batting innings. He bowled in the right areas, executed our plans better than us.”

Coetzee Lauds GT stability for batsmen

Garald Koetzi of Gujarat Titans, who returned to action and took one for 36 in his first match of the season, appreciated his team’s top-order batsmen for their remarkable stability.

“I think the batsmen are very consistent. They are just playing good cricket shots. I think there are not too much slogans. So perhaps it is not as attractive, but I mean, it works perfectly,” South African said.
