Jasprit Bumrah Fifar led India Charge, KL Rahul Slam 50

India is well prepared in stumps in 2 days in 2 days in 2 days in the half-century.

Team India wrestled back control of the IND vs ENG 3rd Test with a top day at Lord’s. Joe Root slammed his 37th Test ton but a Jasprit Bumrah took a five wicket haul to bowl the hosts out for 387. KL Rahul in response slammed yet another half-century to guide India to 145/3 at Stumps.

Joe Root resumed on 99 and reached his century in the first over of the day. Bumrah however made good use of the new ball, striking thrice in the first 30 minutes. A ball change turned conditions into England’s favour. Jamie Smith and Brydon Carse slammed 50s to take England 387. In response, India lost Yashasvi Jaiswal early. Karun Nair got 40 while KL Rahul scored a 50 to keep the game well poised heading to Day 3.

Jasprit Bumrah among the greats

Jasprit Bumrah missed out in Edgbaston but returned to Lord’s in top form. The Indian spearhead struck thrice on Day 2 to remove the well set Joe Root and Ben Stokes. On Friday, he knocked over Harry Brook. He eventually ended up with 5/74 on a flat track at Lord’s.

KL Rahul makes a mark

KL Rahul smashed a ton on his last visit to Lord’s. On Friday, he led India’s reply to England with a astute knock. With Jofra Archer bowling full tilt, the 32-year-old held his own and stroked himself to a patient half-century.

Dukes drama

The Dukes ball once again grabbed headlines on Day 2. India’s new ball lasted just 10.3 overs after Bumrah’s opening burst. The changed ball did not move much and was changed again in 8 overs. The changed ball did not do India any favours, with England adding 116 runs for the last 4 wickets.
