Jason Gilespie accused Pakistan Cricket Board that salary was not paid as coach, cricket body brake silence

Jason Gilespi, the head coach of former Pakistan Red-Ball, claimed that he is still waiting for some remuneration from the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), the cricket body has responded. On his Instagram account, Gillespie posted a story, which was related to his interview with the Pakistan Media, said that the PCB still had to clean some of his remunerations. Gilespie and South African Gary Kirsten was appointed by PCB in April 2024 on a two -year contracts, respectively, red ball and white ball head coach.
The PCB promised a new era for the Pakistan team, but both below the six -month line were forced to resign, when the board had removed the authority given to them, which included the National Selection Committee. This is the first time any of them have publicly spoken on financial matters with PCB.
“I am still waiting for some remuneration from the PCB,” read one story, while in the other he wrote, “Gary Kirsten and I sold a team to form a team. Losing a game, and suddenly, which was thrown out of the window.” Incidentally, PCB on Saturday invited applications for the posts of the head coach of the national team in Lahore and the posts of Director of its high performance center on its official website.
However, PCB has denied claims.
The PCB announced in its statement, “The Pakistan Cricket Board denied the claims made by a former head coach on the non-payment of its dues.”
“The PCB spokesperson stated that the former head coach suddenly quit his post without giving a period of four months, which was a clear violation of the contractual terms. The coaching contract clearly mentioned a notice period applied to both sides, and the coach was fully aware of it,” said this.
The post of director is vacant after the resignation of former Test spinner Nadeem Khan.
Former test pacer Aakib Javed has been an interim head coach in all formats since the resignation of Kirsten and then Glippy last year.
A reliable source said that AAQIB had shown its priority to take over as director of the high performance center and did not want to continue as head coach.
The PCB has determined the deadline of the candidates interested to apply for the position of the head coach on 5 May.
“There are indications that PCB is looking for a low-profile foreign coach at this time,” the source said.
