Jannik Sinner, Aryna Sabalenka Earn French Open Top Seeds

The 2025 French Open Sunday starts as top seeds with top ranked Jannik Cinner and Aryana Sabalenka.
The draw of men and women for this year’s second Grand Slam tournament was announced on Thursday.
Defending champions Carlos Alakraj and IGA Swiatech are second and fifth for Clay-Cort Major in Rolland Garos in Paris respectively.
Sinner, who returned from a doping suspension this month and lost to Alkaraz in Sunday’s Italian Open final, will begin his search for his first French Open title against Arthur Rinderkenech of France.
Rolland Garos has a synerg 16–5 after reaching the semi-finals last year. The 23 -year -old Italian is a three -time Grand Slam winner with the title at the US Open in 2024 and the Australian Open in 2024 and 2025.
Alakraj will open his title defense against Kai Nishikori. The 22 -year -old Spaniad is looking for his fifth Grand Slam Trophy.
Germany’s Alexander Zverev is ranked third, followed by American Taylor Fritz, Britain’s Jack Draper and Novak Djokovic of Serbia.
Djokovic, who turned 38 on Thursday, is a three -time champion in Rolland Garos and is looking for his 25th major title, which will break a tie with Margaret Court for the most by a man or woman. Djokovic faced McCenzi McDonald in the first round.
Norway’s No. 7 Casper Rood, Italy’s No. 8 Lorenzo Musetty, Australia’s No. 9 Alex de Minaur and Denmark’s number 10 Holgar runs to eliminate top -10 seeds from men.
Sabalenka, who reached the semi -finals in Paris in 2023, opens against Russia’s Kamila Rakhimova. The 27 -year -old Belarusi is a three -time Grand Slam winner: Australian Open (2023, 2024) and US Open (2024).
Number 2 Seed Coco Goff, a 2022 French Open Finalist, faces Australian Olivia Gadeki in the first round. The 21-year-old Goff has 24-8 records so far this year, including the runner-up Finnish on Clay in Rome and Madrid.
Jessica Pegula is ranked third and italy’s Rome champion Jasmine Paolini is followed by 23 -year -old Swiatech from Poland, who has not reached a final since winning her fourth French Open last year. Swiatek opens against Rebecca Srimkova of Slovakia.
Russian teenager Mirra is Andreeva No. 6 Seed, followed by Madison Keys, Kinwen Zheng of China, Emma Navarro and Spain’s number 10 Paula Badosa.
