Jacksonville Jaguar goes to all – and win big with Travis Hunter

It is not often that we think Jacksonville Jaguar as a big winner.

But it was Dowtroden Jaguar who stole the show in the NFL draft on Thursday night, even though he paid his first round of his choice of 2026 as part of the price.

Jacksonville receives an early receiver And Starting cornerback by trading three spots to get Travis Hunter with number 2 overall pick.

Jacksonville General Manager James Gladstone said, “He is someone who is worthy of the first round draft pick as a comprehensive receiver, and he is worthy of the first round draft pick as a corner.” “We are just excited about bringing him into a boat.”

Gladstone is definitely not required a need for life with a hunter pick.

For a novice, 34 -year -old Gladstone knows how to make a good first effect.

This is his first NFL draft and the celebration in Green Bay is already a major success.

Jaguar was sitting at number 5, knowing that Gladstone had no chance to get the Hunter available before making a swap with Cleveland Brown and drafted the Heseeman Trophy winner.

If this is the way Jaguar is going to move forward, the organization can shed its Laughingstock Label. Jacksonville has qualified for the playoffs only four times in this century in 25 attempts.

“An exciting moment in time for Jacksonville Jaguar,” Gladstone said. “We mentioned the idea that a trademark of this leadership group is that when there is an opportunity to be bold, we are not going to flinch.

“This is a reflection of that. It is definitely a statement that we plan to move, how we plan to operate.”

Hunter definitely fits into that equation. He has boldly stressed that he will play on both sides of the ball.

There is nothing that occurs in the modern era of NFL. Sure, go back in the 1940s and you will find many people who did.

Hunter did it at college in Colorado in the last two sessions, and he hardly came out of the field. And he performed excellently.

In the last season, he caught 96 passes for 1,258 yards and 15 touchdown passes and also intercepted four passes.

And Hunter has no plans to sit on the bench in NFL when either crime or defense is on the field.

Hunter said, “This is on him at this point, but I am going there and will show my ability to do both.” “I know they believe in me and they believed that I could do it.”

Hunter can quickly shock life in Jaguar, which went to 4–13 in the last season and lost 47–10 to Buffalo Bill and Detroit Lions from 52–6.

Both coach Doug Pedirson and General Manager Trent Balke were sent to the packing after disappointing weather. Liam Kyen was hired as a coach.

Now Jaguar needs to find out how to get Trevor Lawrence to play high levels.

Lawrence got an extension of five years, $ 275 million before last season, which runs until 2030. But he has not performed like a person who should earn top money.

He was limited to 10 games in the previous season due to injury and there were 11 touchdowns against seven interception. He completed only 60.6% of his own.

Hunter’s presence will definitely help. Lawrence now has two stellar young receivers at their disposal, as Brian Thomas Jr. caught 87 passes for 1,282 yards and 10 tachdowns as a fraud in the previous season.
