Ishaan Kishan walks on a large scale brain-fee, despite not being out of vs. MI. The umpire’s response connects to confusion

Ishaan Kishan had a major brain-brain moment during Sunrisers Hyderabad’s IPL 2025 match against Mumbai Indians in Hyderabad on Wednesday. The incident was so bizarre that commentators said that they had not seen anything like this. This happened on the first ball of the third over. The delivery of Deepak four extended the leg downwards and was caught by wicketkeeper MI Ryan Retion. Everything seemed normal, but just then Ishan Kishan started walking. However, he stopped the mid-way. Then MI players questioned for a catch. The umpire that raised his hand partially put Kishan out.

Mumbai Indians (MI) captain Hardik Pandya on Wednesday selected the first bowling against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the 18th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL). The match is being held at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad. Leading in Clash, Mumbai Indians have been ranked sixth on the points table with eight points out of eight matches, with four winning and the same number of damage. In contrast, Sunrisers Hyderabad find themselves in ninth place with just four points, which manage only two wins in their seven matches so far.
The two captains took a moment to express their condolences to the victims of the tragic terror attack in Pahgam on Tuesday.
Addressing the incident, MI captain Hardik Pandya said, “It feels good (on applause). I would like to pass my condolences to the victims of the terrorist attack. We, as a team and a franchise, condemn any such attack.”
In the game, he said, “We will bowl first tonight. Looks like a good track. Just a change for us comes for Vignesh Ashwani. We need to execute our plans and carry the game as much as possible, plan properly.”
Sunrisers Hyderabad captain Pat Cummins also expressed grief over the attack, saying, “This is also a shocking for us, our thoughts are with the victims and their families.”
Talking about the game, Cummins said, “A change for us – Jaidev comes, Shami goes to the Player List. This is a reason for optimism, we really know this surface and ground. We have played some very good cricket this year.”
As teams square in an important mid-season encounter, both sides would be eager to improve their standing in the tournament and improve their standing in the tournament.
