IPL 2025 points Table, Orange Cap, Purple Cap: KL Rahul’s half -century vs LSG takes DC closer to the playoffs

Delhi Capital won a win on Lucknow Super Giants in its IPL 2025 match at Ekna Stadium in Lucknow on Tuesday. To bowl first, DC banned LSG till 159/6, in which Pesar Mukesh Kumar took four wickets. Later, DC chased the target in just 17.5 overs and hit a half-saint meter for eight wickets with KL Rahul and Abishek Porl. This was DC’s sixth win after eight matches for LSG, the fourth loss after nine matches.

After this match, both teams have maintained their respective positions in the points table. DC is seated second with 12 points after eight matches, with +0.657 NET run-rate while LSG ranks fifth with 10 points.

The top location is currently acquired by Gujarat Titans with similar points as DC but with a better net run-by (+1.104).

Currently, the Orange Cap (most runs) is conducted by GT opener Sai Reformson with 417 runs in eight matches. LSG Batter Nicholas Gorn is second in the list with 368 runs in nine matches.

On the other hand, Purple Cap (most wicket) is held by GT Pesar Prasad Krishna with 16 wickets in eight matches. DC spinner Kuldeep Yadav is second in the list with 12 wickets in eight matches.

Talking about DC and LSG games, Trikdi of Mukesh Kumar (4/33), Mitchell Starc (1/25) and Dushmanatha Chamera (1/25 in 3 overs) used a slow delivery, as LSG can manage the PAR 159/6 below 87/1 only in half the way.

In Back -10, LSG can manage only 72 runs to record its lowest team of its lowest team tournament.

This only made the fact that the pants came to number 7 with their banded right palm, and was rejected for a two -ball duck, while Abdul Samad ruined the delivery like a millionaire.

The match as a competition ended in only half the time.

Young opener Abhishek Poral (51 out of 36) set the tone before KL Rahul (57 Not out of 42) and Axar Patel (not out of 34) saw DC Home with 13 balls, leading to his sixth win in eight matches.
