IPL 2025: Mumbai Indians prepared to sign former SRH, CSK stars as short -term replacement

As the Indian Premier League (IPL) franchisees wait for several foreign stars to return to the country to resume the T20 League, some franchises have already started charting plans for the future. While many players have decided against returning to the T20 league, it was suspended due to Indo-Pak tension, some would leave on May 27 as per the original schedule of the league. To handle this difficult situation, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has allowed the franchise to create a temporary signature as a replacement for unavailable players.
The Indians of Mumbai, who have been one of the most in-form sides of this campaign, have allegedly reduced to Zony Baresto and Richard Glison as those short-term replacement signatures, as in accordance with ESPNcricinfo. MI Ryan is ready to lose the choice of Ryan Ryyan and is Jack Will Jack due to his international commitments.
While Jack is to join the England team for the ODI series against the West Indies, when the IPL 2025 playoffs begin, Ricelton has been selected for the ICC World Test Championship between South Africa and Australia.
Bairsstow IPL was a part of 2025 auction, but was not selected by the same team. However, his arrival is bound to promote expectations of MI’s 6th IPL title. Bairstow has depicted more than 50 shows for Sunrisers Hyderabad and Punjab Kings in the IPL.
On the other hand, Glison was purchased by Chennai Super Kings in the IPL 2024 season. He played only 2 matches for the franchise that year, scoring a total of 2 runs.
However, the loss of Ricelton and Jack will be a large for Mi, considering the form they were late. Wicket-keeper Batter, Ricelton, performed a miracle in recent matches, while Jack’s all-round performance was important for MI’s extraordinary run in the T20 league.
