IPL 2025, 156.7 kmph star Mayank Yadav joins LSG ahead of RR Clash

Lucknow Super Veteran (LSG) got a big boost as fast bowler Mayank Yadav has joined the team. The 22 -year -old Pesar is likely to be available for the next game of LSG against Rajasthan Royals on Saturday. LSG announced Mayank’s return with a special video on his social media, with the caption, “Mayank Yadav is back”. Mayank has been sidelined with a back injury and was close to the first return of this season before a eccentric toe injury this season – continuously after stubbing it against her bed – caused an infection that delayed her return.
The young pacer, who was out of action since his international start last year, where he had shown three T20s against Bangladesh at home, missed the entire domestic season and rehabited the BCCI’s Center of Excellence in Bangalore.
Earlier, LSG head coach Justin Langer excited about Mayank’s recovery and said, “Mayank is up and running, which is really very good for Indian cricket and for IPL. I saw some videos bowling her yesterday in NCA yesterday. He was bowling about 90 to 95%.”
Mayank took the IPL from the storm in the previous season with his raw speed and the ability to take wickets, looked at the speed of 150 km/h. He played only four games for LSG in the last season and was one of his five retained players before the mega auction.
Their return will be a large -scale boost for LSG, which has had to manage a seriously low bowling lineup since the start of IPL 2025.
The crisis of LSG’s crisis began before the season opener with Mohsin Khan, Mayank, Avesh Khan and Akash, and all were unavailable. The franchise brought veteran Shardul Thakur to increase the attack, and the move paid dividends. Avesh and Akash Deep later joined the squad and have played five and three games since then.
LSG, whose bowling resources were thin, managed to finish fifth in standing with four wins in seven matches. He will play Rajasthan Royals on Saturday in the next Jaipur.
