India’s squad for England Tour: Players are likely to be added between Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli drama

The Indian cricket team is ready to start a new phase in the longest format, as Ajit Agarkar -led selection committee sits for the players to visit England, possibly without Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. While the exit of the Hitman from the longest format has been confirmed, suspense remains on whether the BCCI will be successful in achieving a huge to change its mind. Nevertheless, the selection committee has been designed to choose a team as India this week, while India’s senior squad is expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

The Indian Premier League (IPL) is now expected to end on May 30 on May 25 with the 2025 campaign, instead of May 25, the situation has become a bit difficult for the selectors. But, according to a report by Cricbuzz, the intention is clear – choose players from those teams whose IPL campaign is more likely to end with the league stage.

Players should be selected for a team for India:

Abhimanyu Ezavaran as the country, a captain. Tanush Kotian, Baba Indrajit, Akash Deep, Karun Nair, among other stars, who are subject to the BCCI watch for tour. Some of these players can be pushed into the senior squad, based on the level of performance shown by them.

Dhruv Jurlel and Nitish Reddy will also be selected for a team for India, but will later be added to the senior party.

Players should be selected for the senior squad of India:

Sharadul Thakur is likely to make a comeback in the national team in whites, which have been impressed in the Ranji Trophy campaign. Their skill also makes them a property, especially in seam-friendly English conditions.

Dhruv is set to be two wicket-keeper for the test assignment against England with Jurlel and Rishabh Pant, Ishaan Kishan is unlikely to be selected despite returning to the BCCI central contracts.

Shreyas Iyer is another name that is attracting a lot of attention. While she was not initially in the plan of things, Virat Kohli’s possible retirement selection committee could force her to remember her.

Mukesh Kumar and Yash Dayal are also expected to be selected, while Khalil Ahmed may have to wait for his opportunity. The team also has a question mark in place of Mohammed Shami.

Despite several potential exit from the team, Sarfaraz Khan is unlikely to be selected for a tour of England, as he recently returned from a long injury.
