India’s England Tour Plan IPL 2025 rescheduling gave a tough competition. Report claims how

The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) is set to delay the announcement of Squad for India for two of its practice matches in England before India’s five -match Test series in June. India A has been scheduled to play two matches against England Lions on 30 and 6 May respectively, with several potential senior senior stars. However, according to reports, the BCCI will wait to see that IPL teams have made India a playoffs to determine a team.
As per the revised program for IPL 2025, the playoff stage ends on 27 May, while the tournament ends on June 3. This would mean that any Indian players involved in the IPL 2025 playoffs are unlikely to travel to India. Therefore, the BCCI is ready to delay the announcement of the squad.
“The problem is that a lot of players, who should be selected for a tour of India, will be busy for their franchise as IPL playoffs start from May 29 only. In such a scenario, players whose teams are likely to remember the least for the playoffs, remember a tour of India as a tour of England.”
“Right now, we do not have a complete clarity of which teams will make playoffs and which are not.
However, according to the report, Yashasvi Jaiswal and Dhruv Jurlel are to be included in a squad in India. Both players play for Rajasthan Royals (RR), who have already ended with the playoff race.
Jaiswal was India’s most successful test batsman in 2024, but he never played Test cricket in England.
The BCCI source said, “The selectors are curious that Jaiswal gets some match practice in English conditions before the first Test.”
However, despite the delay in the announcement of an India team, the announcement for the senior squad of India for the tour of England was initially set on 23 May, appearing on the track. Senior Squad will play a warm-up match against England Lions on 13 June ten days after the final of IPL 2025.
