CSK star Ayush will lead the 16-member India U19 squad for the tour of England
The Control Board for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced a 16 -member U19 squad for the upcoming tour. CSK star Ayush Matre is named as captain for the side to serve as his deputy with Abhigayan Kundu. The tour includes 50 overs warm-up matches, followed by the young one-day series of five matches and Two multi-day matches against England U19.

Mhatre has been rewarded for his frequent performance for Mumbai in the domestic circuit and CSK in IPL 2025. In IPL 2025, he scored 206 runs out of 6 matches, becoming CSK’s best batsman in the season.
The IPL 2025 became the youngest Centurion in men’s T20 cricket, Vaibhav Suryavanshi is also named in the squad. He managed to score 252 runs out of 7 matches in IPL 2025, average 36.
In particular, Mhatre and Suryavanshi are the only two players who played in IPL 2025 and have been selected in the U19 squad.
