The WTC Final 2025 between South Africa and Australia drew 41.4 million viewers on JioHotstar and 47 million on TV. South Africa ended their ICC trophy drought after 27 years, drawing the attention of millions of fans.
The IND vs ENG 1st Test at Headingley, which marked the beginning of India’s WTC 2025-27 cycle under a new Test captain, Shubman Gill, surpassed the WTC Final viewership record by two times.
The Headingley Test, which was streamed in five languages, including English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and Kannada, had a total viewership of 89.1 million as per BARC data. It also had a whopping 13.7 billion minutes of watch time. It was the highest for any Test match on OTT platforms.
