Texas Tech Star Softball Pitcher Nirya will earn $ 1.2 million in a name, image and equality deal to play for school in 2026 after leading the team at the Canadian Women’s College World Series.
Canadian is earning $ 1 million this season in its first season with red reders. She will be on the mound on Friday night when Texas Tech (54–13) will meet Texas in Game 3 of the WCWS Championship series. Red Reders are ready for their first national title.

Texas Tech Quarterback Patrick Mahums has developed a close bond with Canadian. Three -time super bowl champions and his wife, Britney, are participating in WCWS in Oklahoma City and cheering on Reders.
“This is special. The way he is capable of controlling softball and the way he is able to detect in the strike zone, I mean it is special,” Mahomes told ESPN during Thursday night’s game 2. “And to be able to see it for the first time throughout the season, you know why we are in that situation.
Canyi spent his first two college season in Stanford before it was transferred to Texas Tech. It is 34–6 with 0.97 ERA and 317 strikes in 239 innings this season and also leads the squad with 11 Homer.
On Friday, Canadi would like to toss his third full game in three days. Redders lost 2–1 in Wednesday’s Game 1 before 4-3 on Thursday.
Texas (55–12) is also on the verge of winning its first national title on Friday night.
