“I’m sure …”: East-BCCI President Sourav Ganguly reacts to the suspension of IPL 2025 amid India-Pakistan tension

Sourav Ganguly, East India Capane and an East-BCCI president, have also reacted to the suspension of the Indian Premier League 2025. In particular, the tournament has been stopped by the mid-season as the tension operation between India and Pakistan continues to proceed after vermilion. The match between Punjab Kings and Delhi Capital was left in the middle due to security reasons on Thursday and the next day the incident was suspended for seven days. Ganguly showed his confidence in the BCCI and said that the board would fulfill the tournament.
“I have seen today that the IPL has been suspended for 7 days. The BCCI will complete it. BCCI is efficient. During Kovid, it was another Emergency. I am sure BCCI will complete it,” Ganguly told India today.
In particular, this is not the first season of the IPL that has been stopped by the midway. Even in 2021, the tournament was postponed due to the threat of Kovid -19 in India. The version resumed and was completed four months later in the United Arab Emirates.
Ganguly said, “A Kovid -like situation is different. BCCI will work according to the Government of India guidelines.”

The BCCI on Friday confirmed that the IPL 2025 was suspended with immediate effect, although the Indo-Pakistan border for a week in view of tension. The board said that the appointed time would be announced after assessing the new schedule and locations of the tournament.
