IGA Swiatek breaks the way for the first Wimbledon title

Poland’s eighth seed Ega Swetek won his first Wimbledon Championship in London to win his first Wimbledon Championship to number 13 Amanda Anisimova 6-0, 6-0.

It is 24, 24, and the sixth Grand Slam Singles title for his first tournament victory since Rolland Garos in 2024. He never lost a Grand Slam final.

To win the 1988 French Open, Steffi Graff was the first “Double Bagel” in a major final after Natasha Zavereva rooted 6–0, 6–0.

23 -year -old Anisimova was seen in her first major final.

Anisimova made five double faults and finished with only eight winners and 28 unexpected errors.

Swetech never faced a break point in a 54 -minute win to become the first Wimbledon Singles Champion of Poland. He changed six out of nine brake opportunities and ended with 10 winners and 11 unexpected errors.
