“I don’t know, I’m guilty …”: Ryan Parag’s heart -wrenching response to lose against LSG

To lose the way at the end due to being under cruise control for most parts, Rajasthan Royals captain Ryan Parag on Saturday took all the blame for the Lucknow super veterans in an IPL match here for a two-line defeat. 181-Chasing the target of Run, Vijay looked at an foregoing conclusion when opener Yashsvi Jaiswal and Kishori Vaibhav Suryavanshi exploded like a rocket, which had an 85-run partnership together in the ninth place.
Things were getting very good for the host with Jaiswal, with a brilliant 74 in 52 delivery and a similar combat Parag broke 39 off 26 balls.
But both were rejected by LSG Pesar Evesh Khan in the 18th over, due to poor selection of shots.
RR could not take a shock to lose the batsman two well and in the end two runs were reduced.
“It is really difficult to process all emotions. Don’t know what we did wrong. We were in the game till the 18th or 19th over. I don’t know. I blame myself. I should have ended that game in the 19th over. We have to set up a game collectively,” Parag led the team on Saturday, which regularly caused the team to a side strain.
The last over, also bowled by Avesh, was one who saw the LSG bowler to test his years of experience and come out of the winner. He also got rid of dangerous Shimron Hetmier to smell RR Challenge.
LSG’s Pacer Shardul Thakur accepted Avesh’s contribution to the victory.
“We knew Avesh’s ability. Credit to Prince (Yadav) and the way he bowled in 19th.
Parag, however, bowl by his pacer Sandeep Sharma. Sharma was closed for four sixes by Abdul Samad of LSG, causing the difference to the end.
“The last over (bowling by Sharma) was unfortunate. I felt that we had stopped him from 165–170. We have also given 20 runs, but we should have chased it. There was no complaint about the surface.”
Avesh, who was postponing the match player, said, he was just focusing on producing his best yorker.
He said, “I don’t want to be a Michelle Staror, I want to be a good Avesh Khan. I wanted to bowl with clarity and wanted to take my time. I wanted to execute my yorker. I wanted to focus on my execution. I wanted to stop the boundaries in the first three balls,” he said.
The last time he bowled, he saw Avesh involved in an animated discussion with skipper pants before almost every delivery.
Avesh said, the discussion was about establishing the best possible way.
He said, “We wanted to take our time (in the last over) and set the ground properly in the last over. I used to think of the team and wanted to win the game for the team. It’s a long tournament and I want to do it for the team.”
