“I barely slept one night before my debut for Mumbai Indians”: Suryakumar Yadav

There was a lot of enthusiasm. Playing for a franchise is a different kind of discussion. I was just enjoying that moment, thinking about stepping on the field for warm-up, and as soon as I was already sweating, it was really good.
Suryakumar reflected in his century in IPL 2024 against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and shared how T20 demands developed, pushed them to customize their game.
“The T20 format has changed a lot in the last few years-the scoring rate, strike rate, everything. Earlier, I batted at a strike rate of 140-150, but after Post-2020, I realized that to be the best, I needed to develop. I worked to work on match simulation, and I used to help stay ahead of shots where I could help the scoring options.
Suryakumar, who has played for MI and KKR, will appear in action next time when Rajasthan Royals will take Mumbai Indians in the 50th match of IPL 2025. The match will be played at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur.
