Former India captain Mohammad Azharuddin suffered a serious shock as his name from the stand in Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad. The Hyderabad Cricket Association has received an order to remove Azharuddin’s name from the North Mandap stand. Apart from this, HCA has also been ordered not to issue tickets with Azharuddin’s name. This order was on Saturday on Saturday, Ethics Officer of Hyderabad Cricket Association and Lokpal Justice V. Was passed by Savadaya.

According to a report by Cricbuzz, it has been said that the decision has been taken due to a conflict of interests. For Anward, Azharuddin was the chairman of HCA in 2019 and during a top meeting in the same year, it was decided that the North Pavilion Stand at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium would be renamed as “WS Laxman Pavilion”.

On February 28 this year, a complaint was lodged by the Lord’s Cricket Club (LCC) in Hyderabad as he demanded the removal of Azaruddin’s name from the stand. He said that this is a conflict of interests because according to Rule 38, a member of the Apex Council cannot take any decision in his favor.

In addition, LLC also argued with the Lokpal to put Azharuddin’s ‘high -handed’ action aside, which nominates the northern stand as Mohammad Azharuddin stand and is continued as WS Laxman Stand “for all practical purposes.

In his 25 -page judgment, Isaraiah said, “The fact that the general body has not been a proclaimed support/amendment, further strengthens the case against defendant number 1 (Azharuddin), as defendant number 1 has overcome its right to benefit itself.”

After the verdict, LCC breathed a sigh of relief. Citing by The Sportstar, the treasurer of the club, Somna Mishra said, “This decision confirms our commitment to transparency and integrity. We thank the authorities for their fair and only for evaluation.”
