How has RCB demonstrated at Narendra Modi Stadium?

RCB will expect RR to bury the ghosts of its eliminator defeat in Ahmedabad last season.

IPL 2025 final will see a new champion crowned for the first time, with the Royal Challengers Bengaluru facing off against the Punjab Kings on Tuesday. RCB demolished Punjab Kings in Mullanpur in Qualifier 1 to reach the summit clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium. The Rajat Patidar led side will have paid close to attention to proceedings in Q2, with Punjab Kings beating Mumbai Indians at the same venue.

RCB’s record at Ahmedabad: Wins 3, Losses 3

RCB have had a mixed record at Ahmedabad. The Bengaluru-based franchise however, will take heart from their performances away from home this season. Patidar and Co have won all 8 of their away games this season, including the Qualifier 1 against the Punjab Kings. They did not face Gujarat Titans at Ahmedabad this season, but have a couple of days of practice to get accustomed to conditons.

In their 6 games at the Narendra Modi Stadium, RCB have won 3 and lost 3 games. One of those wins came against RR back in 2015. Since 2021, they have won twice, including their win over the Gujarat Titans in 2024. Will Jacks had scored a century, with Virat Kohli scoring a fine fifty. However, in their last visit to the ground, they were knocked out by Rajasthan Royals in the Eliminator.

Worrying signs for RCB?

RCB will hope to bury the ghosts of the IPL 2024 Eliminator and end their 18-year wait for the title. In a crunch encounter, the Rajasthan Royals had outplayed RCB, with many of the surviving players till part of the current squad. And while RCB have done exceptionally well away from home, Punjab Kings have better grip of the conditions have chased down a record score against Mumbai Indians.

It is also RCB’s fourth appearance in an IPL Final. The Bengaluru-based franchise has suffered defeat on all three attempts in the past, and will need to rewrite history to clinch the title.
