Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) stared at the elimination, saying, as far as the IPL 2025 playoff race is concerned, after their latest defeat to Gujarat Titans on Friday. The loss of 38-Run at the Narendra Modi Stadium leaves Pat Cummins and his soldiers in ninth place with just six points out of 10 matches. SRH can only reach a maximum of 14 points at the end of the league stage, with only four matches left to play. However, they still have an external chance to make it in the playoffs.

SRH will have to win all its remaining games, but their current NET run -1.192 as all good margins.

They will also expect other results to go on their way as currently three times – Mumbai Indians, Gujarat Titans and Sunrisers Hyderabad – already at 14 points.

After the match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR), Punjab Kings are fourth on the table with 13 points. Both teams were awarded one point each.

Except for CSK and Rajasthan Royals, the remaining eight teams are in dispute to make everyone in playoffs.

After the match, SRH captain Pat Cummins opened and convicted himself for the team’s loss.

“Some things. Our powerplay with the bat was not very good. I was guilty as someone else. Maybe let them get 20-30 additional runs. Perhaps hang on one or two catches. Then I am guilty there. Chasing 200 chasing 200 looks a little more realistic. They look a little more realist.

“We probably take out a lot of bad balls. It is actually a good wicket. Giving for 140 for 140 in the last 14 overs was good on the bowling part. Sharma batted well. Finally Nitish. Finally Nitish. It was too late for the batsmen. It was too late and too late for the batsmen.
