
Josh Nayler and Corbin Carroll defeated San Diego Padress 5–1 in Phoenix on Friday as Arizona Diamondback, defeated 5–1 in Phoenix during the first meeting between the National League West rivals this season.
Geraldo Pardomo and Lurdes Gurlee Junior increased their on-base streaks with two hits and one RBI and Katel Marte with a single and walk for D-Back to 25 matches, who have won four and 11 of 11 in a row.
Rhine Nelson (3–2) scored six hits in five innings and an inadvertent run, with three strikes and walks, and D-Back Bulpen hit the Padress in the last four innings.
