Chicago will open a Saturday competition with Drew Pomeranz (2–1, 0.00 ERA) in a bullpen game. Pomeranz threw two scorer innings against cardinals in two relief outings last week. In 26 shows this year, covering 26 1/3 innings, the 36 -year -old left -handed batsman has allowed just one run, which was committed.
Pomeranz 0–1 with 3.71 ERA in 10 career showcases against St. Louis.
Cardinals have lost four directly to the 6 1/2 game falling behind the National League Central-Leiding Cub. On the plus side, St. Louis killed his 31-inning overall scoreless streak and his 53-inning scorer Streec in the division, when Brendon Donovan hit a homer on Friday.
St. Louis will try to cool the cub with the left-handed Matthew Libertor (6-6, 3.70 ERA), who won a 7–0 win over Cleveland Guardians on Sunday at his latest beginning. They placed them for three hits and five walks, while making three of the six-plus innings three times with the streak of their personal victory.

Nine career outings against the Libertor cub have 1–1 with 3.72 ERA, including three beginnings.
