There are many reports on social media about the resumption of IPL 2025. Due to military tension between India and Pakistan, the Indian T20 tournament was suspended by BCCI on 9 May 9. All franchises were asked to dissolve and many foreign stars also left for the respective countries. As both India and Pakistan agreed to a ceasefire on Saturday, things are likely to return to the track soon. BCCI and IPL officials also held a meeting to discuss the plan to resume the tournament on Sunday, which was suspended after the match number 58.

Before the announcement of the resumption, Team Gujarat Titans held a training session at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad. According to a report by Cricbuzz, the side of Shubman Gill began to undergo an intense net session, which lasted for more than three hours.

The Gujarat Cricket Association (GCA) also confirmed that foreign stars like Kagiso Rabada and Sherfen Rutherford were also a part of the session.

The GCA and GT members told the cricbuz, “They had become dispersed today, but with the declaration of the ceasefire and talking about a initial resume, they decided to stay in Ahmedabad.”

Sources close to the BCCI told NDTV on Sunday that the IPL could resume in early 16 May, finally it is expected to move from 25 May to 30 May.

Talking about Rabada, South Africa recently banned an provisional ban for the use of recreational drugs. The 29 -year -old left the IPL, after playing just two matches for GT, to return home last month, where he served the month’s ban and further completed an education and awareness program to prevent drug abuse.

According to a report by the South African newspaper, during the SA20 earlier this year, a metabolite of cocaine benzoylecagonin (Bze) was found on their urine samples.

The report stated that Rabada’s legal team demonstrated that their cocaine was out of competition because concentration (less than 1,000 nanograms per milliliter) suggested prior use, not the use of the day of test.
