The return of NBA coverage on NBC would be a familiar face for the 2025-26 season as the Hall of Fame Grant Hill will join the desk as an analyst.
The 52 -year -old Hill, along with the NCAA tournament, will continue to work as a college basketball analyst with TNT sports for coverage of Big East and Big 12 Basketball network.
Hill said in a statement, “NBA has been such a meaningful part of my life, and I am thankful for the opportunity to share the game with fans across the country.” “To be part of NBC’s return to NBA – a network with such a rich basketball heritage – and its beginning on peacock is really an honor. I can’t wait to start this fall.”
The executive manufacturer Sam Flood described the Hill’s lineage “unique,” emphasizing “that hill”, which would be a tremendous asset for our coverage. “
“She is a skilled broadcaster,” Flood said, “whose basketball IQ, Insight and Wisdom resonate with NBA fans across the country.”
The 1995 co-Roki of the Year and seven-time all-star, Hill played 18 seasons in NBA with Detroit Piston, Orlando Magic, Phoenix Sun and Los Angeles Clepers. He also won a gold medal with Team USA at the 1996 Olympics and was included in the Nismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2018.
Hill joined the broadcast side of the game after retiring in 2013 and also took the role of Managing Director of USA Basketball, with Hill Building a roster that won gold at the 2024 Olympics.
The NBA agreed to a 11-year media rights deal with NBC/Peacock, ABC/ESPN and Amazon Prime Video in the last summer that begins in 2025-26 season.
