In the aftermath of the Bengaluru stampede, which saw two top Karnataka State Cricket Association (KSCA) officials resign, the BCCI might have decided to shift matches from the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The board may move the Women’s ODI World Cup 2025 matches from Bengaluru to another venue.

Gaikwad to play County Cricket
Ruturaj Gaikwad, who didn’t play for India A against the England Lions and hasn’t been selected in the Test squad, has decided he’ll play some red-ball cricket in the English summer. Gaikwad has joined Yorkshire and will play the County Championship and the One-day Cup starting from July 22.

WTC Final Playing XIs out
Australia and South Africa have both named their playing XIs for the WTC Final 2025. Australia have dropped Sam Konstas and Scott Boland, both of whom were part of the last Test they played. Cameron Green has come back as well. South Africa have made just one change as Lungi Ngidi comes in for Dane Paterson.

Ashwin fined for TNPL outburst
Ravichandran Ashwin has been fined 30% of his match fee for showing dissent in the Dindigul Dragons vs IDream Tiruppur Tamizhans match in the Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) 2025. Ashwin had argued with the umpire, hit his pads in frustration and thrown his gloves after a controversial decision by the umpire.
