Gold Cup: Trinidad and Tobago, Haiti draws 1-1

Short-Hanti missed a golden opportunity to break the late second half tie against Trinidad and Tobago, then had to settle for 1–1 draw on Thursday in a ConcacAF Gold Cup Group D match in Houston.

In the 83rd minute, Haiti’s Willgain Pagan was taken down in the penalty area by Andre Remond, Mondi Prunier elevated the penalty kick on the crossbar in the 86th minute.

The second half shown 1–0 back and Jean-Kevin Duvern showed a straight red card in the 39th minute after 10 men, Haiti (0–1-1, 1 digit) was also drawn in the 68th minute. On a set piece, Justin Garcia went into a cross in the top left corner from Kevin Molino on a free kick.

Trinidad and Tobago (0-1, 1 digit) broke a scorer tie in the 49th minute. From the right side of the 6-yard box, Frantez Piero scored with the help of Luisius Didson.

Haiti ended with the edge in the shots at Gol (3–2) and shot at the effort (16–9).

Trinidad and Tobago goalkeeper Marwin Philip looked at two sews, more than Johnny Plaside, his equivalent for Haiti.
