Gold cup to miss usmnt gk zack steffen (knee)

American men’s national team goalkeeper Zack Stephen will recall the ConcacAF Gold Cup with a knee injury.
The US Soccer Federation on Wednesday confirmed that Stephen was injured during training on Tuesday.
The 30 -year -old Stephen left the training camp and returned to Colorado Rapids to undergo further tests.
ESPN reported that Stephen is expected to be sidelined for four to six weeks.
The USMNT has upcoming friendship against Turkey in East Hartford, Con on Friday, and against Switzerland on Nashville, Tenne next Tuesday.
The Gold Cup action begins with a group D match against San Jose, Trinidad and Tobago in California on 15 June, followed by the group games against Saudi Arabia (19 June in Austin, 19 June) and Haiti (on 22 June, Arlington, Texas).
Stephen is the second US netminder lost to injury to join the Patrick Shulte (Obik) of the Columbus Crew.
The remaining goalkeepers on the training roster of coach Mauricio Pochethetino include the supporter Matt Turner (Crystal Palace), Matt Fraz (New York City FC) and Chris Brady (Chicago Fire).
