Gold Cup: Panama Empty Guatemala, Take Group Lead

Tomas Rodriguez’s 19th-minute goal proved to be sufficient for Panama that he defeated Guatemala 1-0 in the ConcacAF Gold Cup match in Austin, Texas on Friday.
The result leaves Panama (2-0, 6 digits) above Group C from Jamaica (1-0-1, 3 digits) and Guatemala (1-0-1, 3 digits). Guadeloop (0–2–0, 0 digits) ranks final.
An impressive passing sequence gave rise to the target of Rodriguez. Fidel Escobar pasted Amir Murillo a long ball to run to the right of the penalty region. Murillo lowered it, and Rodriguez defeated his defender and landed the previous goalkeeper Nicholas Hegan.
The Orlando mosquito rescued one while recording a clean sheet for Panama. Hagan was credited with seven savings.
The last group of Panama is against Jamaica on Tuesday in Austin. Guatemala faced Guadeloop in Houston on Tuesday.
