Gold Cup: Guatemala placed Guadeloop at 2 places in Group C

Jose Pinto, Olger Escobar and Rubio Rubin found Guatemala behind the net to win 3–2 over Guadeloop in the ConcacAF Gold Cup Group C action in Houston on Tuesday.
That victory on Tuesday pushed Panama to second place in the group, jointly, Gwatemala (2–1-0, 6 points) with Jamaica’s loss and advanced her on a knockout stage. Panama swept the group round-robin.
Guadeloop (0-3-0, 0 points) did not delay, cut 2–0 and 3–1 losses, but never managed to tie the match. Ange-Freddy Plumain and Matthias Phaeton recorded their goals.
Pinto’s goal was an ideal punishment kick in the 13th minute to open the scoring. Rubin assisted Escobar in the 29th minute to make it a 2–0 scoreline that stood for a halftime.
Pluman also scored through a penalty kick to get a guideloop on board in the 50th minute. Rubin knocked on a cross with Rudy Munoz to scored all the important third goals of Guatemala in the 70th.
Fatten curls in a shot inside the remote post in the 78th minute, but could all do the muster.
