Gill to play against Gill? GT officer updates injury

Shubman Gill did not take the ground due to a back cramp in the second innings of GT’s game against RR.

Team director Vikram Solanki said that Gujarat’s Titans captain Shubman Gill is expected to struggle against SRH on Friday. The Vipul batsman did not take the field against RR in the previous game as he faced back cramps. GT is currently placed on the 4th issue table and would like to jump to 2nd position with a win against SRH.

Speaking at the pre-match press conference, GT director Solanki said that the team was trying to be very careful with Gill. He said that GT captain is expected to participate in training on Thursday, after which he will be evaluated. The GT official said that the team was confident that Gill would fit for the struggle against SRH.
