Gill-Pant skip practice

Shubman Gill, Rishabh Pant, KL Rahul, and Yashasvi Jaiswal decided to skip the optional practice session on Saturday. Jasprit Bumrah, Mohammed Siraj, and Prasidh Krishna bowled in the nets after deciding to work on their catching and fitness yesterday. A Punjab Kings player also paid a surprise visit and bowled to the batters in the nets.

After losing the Headingley Test due to playing a bits-and-pieces player, Shardul Thakur, they have decided to follow their predecessor’s 5-bowler approach. It’s virtually confirmed that Kuldeep Yadav will play in Birmingham, replacing Shardul.
