Geekay Esports emerged from the lower bracket and took the team liquid liquid below 4-3 in the Grand Finals of Overwatch Champions Series 2025-North America Stage 2 on Sunday.
Geekay carried NTMR a 3–0 in the first day to face the team liquid. It was a rematch of the upper-bracket final, in which Liquid gave Geek the first damage to the tournament (3–1), when he went 7–0 7–0 during the regular session of Geke.
Team Liquid opened with a 2–0 win over Illios Control on Sunday, Gaked took 3–2 on the next three maps-kings, Roebrid, 3–2 on Circuit Royal escort and 3-2 at 132.24m-105.67m on runSapi push.
Team Liquid won 3–1 at Surwasa Flashpoint and 3–0 at New Junk City Flashpoint to cover the best series.
The decisive seventh map was Oasis control, where the Geekay 2–0 sturked.
In the lower-bracket final, Geke defeated NTMR 2–1 on Oasis control, 3–2 on circuit Royal escort and 3-0 on New Junk City Flashpoint for Sweep.
Despite the end of its team’s third place, NTMR’s Rocco “Chronic” IACOBACCI won the most match MVP award for the tournament (five) and was named OCWS Na Stage 2 Superstar.
The regional playoffs were a double-elimination bracket, showing the top six teams from the regular season, which ran from May 10 to June 15. Two teams below, Supernova in seventh place and Dhilduks in eighth place went for promotion/allegation for stage 3.
Top three teams – Geekay, Team Liquid and NTMR – Advanced to Midseason Championship and North America Stage 3. Geekay received $ 30,000 for the first place.
