Gautam Gambhir replied to Sunil Gavaskar after criticism

Sunil Gavaskar criticized Gautam Gambhir after India lost the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Australia and was poorly performing with the team.
There is a war of words in Indian cricket ahead of India vs England Test series. India’s head coach Gautam Gambhir responded to Sunil Gavaskar after criticizing him for his poor performance in the Australia Test series. While Gambhir directed India to the ICC Champions Trophy title, Gavaskar severely excavated a prize money, to reveal if he had shared it with his fellow coaching staff. Now, Gambhir has responded without the name of the former captain of India, saying that Indian cricket is not the property of anyone.
“It is the job of people to criticize me, and they should criticize. But there are some people who have been sitting in the commentary box for 20-25 years. Whatever they have done. They think that Indian cricket is their property. Unfortunately, Indian cricket is not a property of anyone. It is the hallmark of 140 million Indians. Gambhir said ABP News’ India in 2047, meeting,
What did Sunil Gavaskar say?
India lost the border-Gavaskar Trophy 1-3, with a poor performance with batsmen including Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma. Sunil Gavaskar criticized Gambhir and the coaching staff. However, the Australia series was not the same earlier. Facing whitewash in the three -match Test series, the Indian batsmen failed badly against New Zealand at home.
“What was the coaching staff doing? Batting coach? Against New Zealand, India was excluded for 46. In the remaining matches, they were not able to do well, and they were not able to lose the series. There was no character in the batting order. There was no character in Australia, there was a lack of solidity in the batting order in India,” Sunil Gavaskar told Star Sports.
“We have to ask the question: what you did? Why there is no improvement?” If you tell me that there were bowling (in both chains) and then our batsmen were not able to stand it, then it’s fine.
Gavaskar did not stop taking a shot in Gambhir. After winning the Champions Trophy of India, Gavaskar asked if Gambhir shared the prize money with another coaching staff, as Rahul Dravid had done the T20 World Cup after the victory.
“After the ICC T20 World Cup victory and the announcement of the award amount, the then coach Rahul Dravid, sometimes the team man refused to accept more than his fellow members of the coaching staff and in fact, shared it equally with his colleagues,” Gavaskar wrote in his column for Sportstar.
Gautam gives serious answer
However, Gautam Gambhir is not a person who remains silent. He responded without leaving any name. While he did not respond to criticism, Gambhir took a potshot instead of Gambhir.
“The prize money I received in the Champions Trophy. I do not have to tell this country where I left money and I have invested from where I have invested. However, this country should know that such people have been working as NRIs for many years in the country. They earn money from the country and take it abroad. I do not do security or travel at 11:55,” Gambhir said.
“Those who have to spend only 1 day, 180 days. I am an Indian, and I will be an Indian until my last breath. I will not become an NRI to save tax. Those who live in a glass house should not throw stones in other people’s homes.”
Can serious silence be critics?
While the war of words continues, Gambhir should respond on the field. India has not scored a good run in tests under Gambhir. India has won three Tests and lost 6 out of 10 matches, in charge.
They will be tested by the IND vs Eng Test series fire. India did not win in England since 2007. He last ended in a draw 2–2 when he came on tour. Now, in the five -match test series, India has a chance.
However, if India fails to win the test chain, the condition of Gambhir will be in danger. Even if he continues as a white-ball coach, India can see a new red ball. Rohit Sharma’s captaincy will also be in danger.
