Frost sign first-rounder Kendall Cooper for 2 years deal

Minnesota Frost on Wednesday signed the first round pick Kendal Cooper for a two -year contract.

The 23 -year -old Blueliner was the number 6 overall pick in the previous month’s draft from the University of Quinipiaq.

“We are thrilled to close Kendall for the next two sessions in Minnesota,” said Frost General Manager Melissa Caruso. “He will be an immediate contributor to our blueline, promoting our crime and will also have a great fit in our locker room. Kendall has consistently demonstrated a strong and stable appearance, and we hope that he will be for the standards set by the rest of our defensive correp in Minnesota.”

Cooper, a native of Ontario, recorded 116 points (33 goals, 83 assistance) in 158 career games with Bobcats from 2020-25.

Cooper said, “It is an exciting a few weeks since the draft and I am very happy to complete it.” “I am eager to return to Minnesota in the fall for the start of the season, and I can’t wait to play in front of great frost fans in the hockey state!”
