The PCB has stated that the Australian Jason Gillespie, who resigned as the head coach of Pakistan’s Red-Ball side in December last year, has not been denied their remuneration as claimed in media reports. Reacting to the source of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), media reports that former Australian Pesar had approached the International Cricket Council (ICC) and weighing legal options on the alleged unpaid dues, the PCB “did nothing out of the contractual obligations”. The source said, “There was a clear contract between the board and the Gillespie and the PCB is only working on it that is placed in the contract,” the source said.

He said that all matters related to remuneration were being handled by the PCB’s legal department, as kept in the contract.

Gilespi claimed that the PCB still gives him some remuneration, including a bonus to win a one -day series against England and a one -day series in Australia.

Media reports have claimed that Glippy has also approached the World Cricketers Association (WCA) and is considering legal action against PCB.

“He did not give the notice period in the contract and we are working with him as per our agreement,” said the source.

Gilespie and Gary Kirsten was appointed as a red-ball and white-ball head coach on two-year contracts in April last year, but seven-eight months below the line, he resigned, citing issues with PCB over his right.

The PCB appointed AAQIB Javed as interim head coach for both formats after resigning by foreign experts.
