
Former MLB Pitcher Dan Sarafini was convicted of a first-degree murder in 2021 shooting, claiming his father-in-law’s life and injuring her mother-in-law.
On June 5, 2021, the victim was 70 -year -old Robert Gary Spohar of the attack, found dead in a house in Northern Lake Taho, California by a single gun bullet. Apart from this, his wife, Wendy Wood, then 68. She recovered from the injured, but died of suicide a year later. The family cited the trauma of the attack, cited the cause of his death.
The prosecutors stated that the deadly incident consisted of $ 1.3 million range renovation project and presented the text message evidence of growing disagreement and predetermines before shooting. A text message sent before the attack was read, “I am going to kill them one day.”
Serafini and 33-year-old Samantha Scott were accused as co-reporteds last year. In February, Scott blamed for an accessory charge and was introduced as a close friend of the spaws’ daughters, Erin during the test. Erin was married to Serafini and testified that she had an open marriage and knew that Scott was romantically involved with her husband.
Erin Spohar testified that she would not believe that Serafini killed her father or shot her mother.
In video surveillance from the house and surrounding area, a man was shown wearing a hood, covered face and a backpack, which was running up to Spohar’s house before homogeneous. The evidence offered in the trial was at home about three hours before the Serafini attack.
The information collected during the two -year investigation inspired him for Serafini and Scott.
Serafini is to be sentenced on August 18 in Placer County, California.
Minnesota Twins selected Serafini, a native of the San Francisco region, with the number 26 overall pick in the 1992 MLB draft. She made her debut in 1996 and appeared in 104 Games (33 beginnings) with twins, Chicago cubs, San Diego Padress, Pittsburgh Pirates, Cincinnati Reds and Colorado Rockies before her retirement in 2007.
He had a record of 15–16 with 6.04 ERA and a savings. He played 263 2/3 innings and hit 127 batsmen.
