Diagnitas on Sunday gave the opportunity to tie flycuest for the top position in Group B in League of Legends LTA North 2025 Split 2 at Los Angeles. Instead, they will spend the next Sunday in a fight for survival.
Entering the day on 1-1 and a game behind the 2–0 flycuest, Dignitas lost in 29 minutes and was again swept away by Group B winner to open the match.
Sunday marked the end of the group play, a day later with flycuest winner Group B, Cloud 9 won Group A to complete 3–0 runs in Group Play. Eight teams will play a cross-group battle at the end of next week to determine six teams which will move forward in five, double-elimination playoffs on 24 May 15.
In Cross-Group Play, each team plays a team from another group, which ended in the same position in standing (eg, will play the cloud 9 flycuest as two number 1 seed). Each group will play the first and second place teams to determine the top four seeds. Teams, who finished third and fourth in each group, will play elimination matches.
The total prize pool is $ 160,000, with $ 80,000 going to the winner and $ 40,000 is for a runner-up. The winner also gets entry into the mid-season invitational and qualify for the winner and runner-up asports World Cup.
Also on Sunday, Leone defeated 2–0 in the matchup of two teams below in Group A.
