
FC Cincinnati on Thursday extended the contract of midfielder Obina Novobodo through 2027.
The 28 -year -old Nigeria International deal includes a club option for 2028.
NWOBODO has two goals and 11 assistance in 117 matches (all competitions) since joining FCC in April 2022.
“Since arriving three years ago, OBI has been a fundamental part of our success,” said General Manager Chris Alberite. “He is tireless in how he takes the game, on the field and out, and he is an extraordinary team partner and leader for our group. We are happy to live in Cincinati to Obi and his family.”
NWOBODO helped win a shield of 2023 supporters for Cincinnati, currently seated at the Eastern Conference with a 9–3–1 record (28 points).
