Pacer Yash Dayal once again became a hero for Royal Challengers Bangalore as he won an exciting victory over Chennai Super Kings in his IPL 2025 match on Saturday. Playing at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium, CSK needed 15 to 15 in the last over in 214 chase. Dayal, who was against the choice of Ravindra Jadeja and MS Dhoni, grabbed his nerves and inspired RCB to win an exciting two-run. A similar example took place in IPL 2024, where CSK needed away from 17 in the final over in 219 chase and Dayal crushed the five -time champion hopes to reach the playoffs.
The 27 -year -old Pesar was acquired by RCB in 2024 and was maintained by him in 2025 ahead of the mega auction. However, Dayal’s journey has not been easy as he is still widely remembered for unwanted tricks, where he was killed in 2023 for five back-to-back sixes during Rinku Singh with Gujarat Titans.
The great Ian Bishop of the West Indies, who was commenting during the RCB vs CSK match, revealed a chat with Dayal on the eve of the game.
“I want to tell a story for this young man. I met him in a shopping mall yesterday. He came to me and I introduced myself. I asked him how he was leaving. He said that he was not very happy in the way he had gone with the ball, and one thing I said to him is coming back to continue excellence since that incident two years ago.
He praised Dayal for performing brilliantly in a state of pressure and performing brilliantly to RCB for victory.
The bishop said, “I am very happy and I know that CSK fans do not want to hear this, but it is a lot of redemption for this child because he is so much through Ravi Shastri in that incident two years ago.”
With 16 points after 11 matches, RCB will now take Lucknow super veterans for their next game on 9 May.
